Technoton Sensor Setup in Teltonika: Step-by-Step or in One Click?

Wireless BLE connection of Technoton sensors to Teltonika tracker

To integrate Technoton sensors with third-party hardware like Teltonika terminals, configuration is key. The terminal needs to “understand” the connected sensor — and that requires a number of settings to be entered manually:

  • selecting the correct interface (Bluetooth, RS485, CAN, etc.),
  • assigning the signal input,
  • setting the signal range,
  • defining how the data should be interpreted,
  • and specifying communication parameters like address and baud rate.

Without a preloaded profile, each of these steps must be done manually — every time, on every site.
The process isn’t overly technical, but it takes time, requires attention to detail, and opens the door to configuration errors.

Preloaded Profiles Make It Simple

Fortunately, there’s a faster and more reliable way.
Teltonika terminals now support preloaded profiles (presets) for Technoton sensors with the S7 (Bluetooth) interface. You just:

  • select the sensor from the list (e.g. DUT-E S7, DFM S7, GNOM S7)
  • the terminal instantly applies all the required parameters
  • and data starts flowing into your monitoring platform — no guesswork, no mistakes

This saves time on installation, reduces human error, and speeds up project deployment.

If the profile you need isn’t in the list — contact Technoton Technical Support. We’ll provide a ready-to-use configuration for your project.

Prefer to configure it yourself? Use our official integration support — everything is clearly documented step by step.

When It “Just Works”

With preloaded profiles, setup takes minutes instead of hours.
No need to dive into manuals, double-check baud rates or calculate scale factors — it simply works.
But what if your project is more complex?

For Complex Installations — Choose CANUp

If you’re working on a site with multiple sensors, distributed control points, or mixed equipment, configuration can become time-consuming again — even with individual profiles.
In these cases, we recommend CANUp, Technoton’s intelligent telematics gateway.

  • All Technoton sensors are automatically recognized
  • Communication settings and profiles are pre-installed at the factory
  • You can connect dozens of sensors at once, across multiple systems
  • Ideal for industrial vehicles, stationary equipment, gensets, or mixed fleets

With CANUp, even large-scale integration becomes fast, reliable, and scalable — right out of the box.
