JSC Peterburgsky Traktorny Zavod (Saint Petersburg tractor plant, hereinafter PTZ) is a part of Kirov Plant group – one of the most reputable and oldest machine-building companies of Russia, established in 1801. Kirov Plant is a pioneer of domestics tractor construction: first tractor were produced in 1924.
The plant serially produces 8 modifications of agricultural tractors “Kirovets” of the modernized K-744P series with a power capacity 300 to 450 hp, one model of Kirovets agricultural tractors of the new K-4 series with a power capacity of 240 hp, 17 types of road-building and special machines manufactured on the basis of “Kirovets” industrial tractors.
Largest PTZ’s buyers are Gazprom, Nornikel, Ilim group, Severstal, Lukoil.
The plant takes part in state programs for supply of the equipment to agricultural producers through OJSC Rosagroleasing and under the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1432.
After successfully accomplishing the tests in June 2018, JV Technoton and JC Peterburgsky Traktorny Zavod signed package of documents approving installation of DFM fuel flowmeters on the main tractor model – K 744P with preservation of factory warranty.
DFM flow meters are also officially approved for use by other major automakers: YaMZ (KAMAZ, MAZ, Ural), Gomselmash, Avtodizel, Amkodor.
